    Greatest modern Canadian fighter

Even though I think he was very limited and his biggest claim to fame was the wars he always had with lesser fighter, IMO the modern Canadian great has to be Arturo Gatti.

      This might get interesting.

Do you consider Lewis a Canadian because he spent most of his adult life there and fought for their Olympic team or is he British because he was born there and lived there for the first dozen years of his life.

Well I think he lived in Canada only until he turned pro, which was less than 10 years. It just that he became an amateur boxer in Canada and represented them in the Olympics. s a pro he moved back to England and said that he always regarded himself as being British. I was living in Canada then and remember him saying that, because there was a bit of a fuss amongst reporters as to which country he represented.

Of his first dozen or more fights he had only one or two in Canada, and not the first ones either. I first heard of him as a pro from fighting in England and Europe. I think maybe a fight or two in the US. He never fought again in Canada. He's British.
