Comments Thread For: Golden Boy's Knockout Kings card To Have KO Bonus

Less than a year removed from its ‘Knockout Kings’ card in Las Vegas, Golden Boy Promotions is prepared to turn the card’s theme into a time-honored tradition. Included in those plans is the promise to properly reward the fighter who provides the night’s most memorable ending.

Oscar de la Hoya, president of Golden Boy Promotions, confirmed via Twitter the promise to bring back the knockout bonus, which will be at stake for the July 27 Showtime-televised tripleheader in San Antonio.

“Golden Boy Promotions will be doing a bonus for the best knockout of the night, July 27 (at the) AT&T Center,” de la Hoya announced of the forthcoming card, aptly named ‘Knockout Kings 2.’

I expect the Thurman/Chaves winner to get the bonus.

True, but since Chaves/Thurman are both punchers and fight as such, I expect a sudden and brutal KO.

I think all three of those fights end in a knockout.

Figueroa may have the easiest fight, saw the Japanese guy last year on Mex tv vs Daniel Estrada, tuff but all he did was soak up punnishment...this 1 borders on a mismatch...

Maybe, Omar Figueroa does not convinse me, he is too methodical, slow, I think a good, fast boxer is going to expose him.
