I live close and will be at the fight but it made no sense to not have Marroquin on this card or other local guys on there.

Marroquin is fighting 2 weeks from now at the Winstar Casino in OK. He's headlining that event, that's why he isn't on the card. They wouldn't put him as the co main event. That they gave to Crawford.

And there is only one local guy.. Name is Tony Lopez, he opens up the card. He's an alright kid. Young, pretty fast, nice boxing, needs more power though.

But yeah this fight is gettin NO HYPE.

People at the AAC didn't even know there was a fight this weekend.

I've been saying this for a while. The guy reacts real funny to punches. He doesnt like being hit.

This was really bad planning by the promoters.

They held the workout at 2:00pm in about 95 degree TEXAS weather on a Tuesday.

They should have been here Saturday doing this, or if on a Tuesday do it a bit later when people are out of work and able to see it. So that there aren't more media people than fans.

That's for every boxing event. It's always the same. Tuesday the workout. Thursday the final press conference. Friday the weigh in. Do they think people that love boxing don't work? It sucks because I had to take one day off of work just to make it to the weigh in. I like fight week but can never attend.

I understand, but remember it's hot as balls here.
Look at the pictures, most people were taking up shade in the AA center.
I know they're use to doing things early but Garcia isn't Canelo. People aren't going to take days off just to see Garcia. They should have taken that into account and done the workout at about 5. More people would have shown up.
