  • Comments Thread For: Haye: Fury Fight Would Be Fun, But There is No Deal

David Haye has confirmed what heavyweight rival Tyson Fury said on Sunday by admitting he would be happy to sort a bout between the two.

The outspoken Fury has not hidden his desire to face Haye and on Sunday said a deal was 99% done.

Haye had been set to face Manuel Charr - his comeback fight from retirement - on June 29, but withdrew because of a hand injury and is now looking for a new opponent.

He claimed on Monday night Fury is not currently penned in but did say on Twitter: "For everyone asking if I'm fighting Fury. I currently have no agreement, or contract in place. But a fight later in the year would be fun."

Fight Manuel Charr Haye, you know that guy you signed to fight and pulled out of with a fake injury.

He intends to fight Charr if the Fury fight doesn't happen why else would he put in the contract a clause that he would have to pay compo if he doesn't? Seeing as that kind of clause is there leads me to believe that the injury isn't fake, he's not going to pay Charr off unless a big fight comes along.

You're right, the hand injury isn't fake.

Haye sustained it when he was carrying around the large amount of unsold tickets for the Charr fight.

He should have put them to 20 Euro instead of £50 if he wanted them to sell fast. How many tickets where unsold, surely you have something to back up your claim or did you just look on a ticket site? LOL

nobody really cares about David Haye unless he's fighting Big Vit or some other top ranked HW not named Fury....Wilder went to the UK and called Fury out hard, thats the fight that should be made...Haye is like a used car salesman....he's not cut from the cloth of somebody like Lewis, Benn, Eubanks, Froch or any of the other great UK fighters....he's nothing like those likeable dudes....part of the reason I don't like him!!

Fury badly wants Haye, so Haye should fight Fury, and then if he beats Fury he can fight Charr. Maybe he should give Charr some step aside money, but a reduced amount with the promise of fighting Charr should he beat Fury.
                    And then Klitscho.
