    Dawson Vs Cleverly in UK

I have posted this in a couple of other threads...

Its obvious that Dawson is shop-worn and his best days are behind him....

He does have skills but cant handle adversity on the highest level

I think he would be a perfect opponent for nathan cleverly the lhw champ from the UK..

I think the fight would do big business in the UK,, Chad can get paid, CLeverly is not a huge puncher, more of a volume puncher...
Cleverly is looking for a big name to put on his resume and chad would fit that bill...

    What do you guys think????????

Chad is long past his best, but he still utterly schooles Clev.

As worn as Chad may be, he still has his skills, range and speed...Clev doesn't have any power to offset Dawson's strengths IMO.

High risk, low reward for Clev, it'd never happen. Casual fans (at least in the UK) don't have much of an idea who Dawson is, and without his belt all he brings is danger. I think Warren will keep matching him with bums and pray that Bellew beats Stevenson, because that's the only fight out there for Clev that's both winnable and makeable.

I think cleverly's volume punching would bother chad....

Cleverly reminds me alot of calzaghe just because he doesnt throw hard but totally overwhelms guys with volume... Havent seen him do it to top guys yet so i think dawson would be a good test...

It would be a huge mistake on Cleverlys part.

Cleverly and Bellew are not world class fighters at all. They are not skilled at all. They don't have punching power to make a difference.

Dawson is pretty much finished at this point, but I still like him to wipe out those two hype jobs rather easily.

I saw him struggle to do it against Tony Bellew. I actually thought he lost that fight.

Calzaghe at least had angles, Clev is all straight lines. Really think he get's thoroughly outclassed, even against a past it version Dawson.
