And in terms of Winky and Oscar, they were already past their bests by that point.

Taylor, Dawson and Pavlik were never truly top tier and the fact that Hopkins lost to them is indicative more of Hopkins abilities than theirs

There is no Hopkins curse. There are lots of other real reasons for what happened to these fighters after they fought Hopkins.. For instance Calzaghe looked great fighting Hopkins. It was the most important victory of his career in my opinion. If he had never fought Hopkins I would never have believed He could beat Hopkins and I think many other fans expected Hopkins to beat Joe. That Hopkins win was a big plus for Joe's legacy. How is that a curse? As for Joe retiring, he was going to retire anyway. Dawson was hurt by Ward but his win over Hopkins was a good thing. There is a logical explaination for what happened to all the other fighters on your list after they fought Hopkins. If you want to believe there is some strange, mystical Hopkins curse you have a right to your opinion. I don't believe in voodoo, black magic or curses.

Bad things happen if you "beat" Hopkins.

Clinton Mitchell = Dead.
Jermaine Taylor = KOd numerous times.
Dawson = has been KOd in every single fight since bhop.
Calzaghe = retired shortly after and is viewed as one of the biggest cherry pickers of all time. Reputation tarnished for life.

Only the great Roy Jones escaped this curse because his reflexes were so unhuman he dodged the voodoo curse.

Pascal got a lot of bad luck after his two fights againt BHop. Many injuries (one that make him cancel his fight against Cloud) a broken shoulder against Kuziemski, 1 year without making money and when hy gets a big fight against Bute Bute injured himself...

To defend the TS I think his point is not about Hopkins winning against guy but about guys not being the same or having bad luck after they fight Hopkins.

Well Dawson definitely got ****** up in that fight dirty or not. People dont give Hopkins enough credit for what he did in that fight. He has a stigma attached going in. 1 head butt and people act like it was 5. Bring on Hopkins Stevenson then we'll see about the curse lol
