He may look like hulk but needs to go down LW does not suit him i think he would have lost to Rios looking like that that, was an awful win if there is such a thing.
Gamboa's worst win

He looked like ****. The first few rounds he looked good but after that it's like he just didn't care. Oh well, I'm about to see if his countryman Lara can put on a better fight against Angulo right now. -
True he does the same **** alot he just checks out mentally half way if he doesn't feel threatened
and doesn't blow the opponent away. If he would have fought up til now like that i would have stopped watching a loooong fking time ago im just gonnna cough that **** to LW and hope to god he gets back to fighting the feather weights where he could actually find some good opponents.

I can't be too hard on him for this.
Sure you can say the round one kd was bs but the Perez kd was definitely caused by the wet signage. Considering that, this would be a fight where he stayed on his feet a legit won a 12 round bout. Compare that to the farenas fight where he was kd and buzzed by a monster counter. I would say that fight was his worst win.
I agree with you that his style is not suited to moving up to LW. He showed that he has trouble diving in from the outside against a fighter with a rangy jab.
He needs Diaz or salas to refine his strategy (or lack of). Preferably Diaz.Comment

The guy looks like a mauler but the bottom line is he DOESN'T come to fight!!
He boxes SAFELY and never engages! If the guy he fought started quicker and was more active this would have been a close fight!
Gamboa is not what some think he is, imagine him at 135 against a Rios or Broner?? He gets stopped if he ever stops running away! Damn shame to waste 12 rounds on that guy, very disappointed in his lack of effort!! RayComment
