never been disappointed with maidana's performances with the exception of the alexander loss (he looked lost in that fight, couldn't figure alexander out)

i look for maidana to win by knockout, perhaps the brutal beating canelo laid on lopez made him doubt himself? i know that canelo is wayyyy bigger than lopez but it was still a HUGE beatdown, kinda beating that takes something out of u perhaps

It was a beating but it didn't last that long. He was also able to land a few on Canelo but he was just was too small. GBP should be ashamed for matching him against Canelo. It could have ended worst than it did.

Maidana throws with better technique, but Lopez has a really good counter left hook and right uppercut. I think Maidana will find the target easier and work behind a crisp jab. We'll see, only thing that concerns me a bit is Maidana's conditioning.

I KNEW there was no way Lopez only had one loss. Otherwise he wouldn't have been a "tuneup" for Victor Ortiz.

seems like rios is getting his steroid/weight training started early with heredia...spend the first few months weight training with the steroids and bulking up. by the time the first press conference comes around the steroids will be out of his system and he can start his normal boxing training.

excellent point made, i didn't even factor that into my prediction, and this could be very true if lopez makes it a dog fight, which he might, but garcia is a very good trainer, so we'll see
