correction, they scrambled each others brains ! Provodnikov took a beating also, but when timmy decided to box the Russian had no clue, and the Russian was winded in the middle to later rounds and caught his wind for the final one. Mayweather is on another level, he makes you quit and go into survival mode ! if he didn't hit so hard more people would rush up on him after the 3rd round but when he takes away your weapons and your aggression its over. imagine not being able to throw your bread and butter punch, because every time you throw it, you pay for it. that is what boxing is all about the ultimate chess match - rock em sock em is cool, but walking people into things, making them pay when they miss, swimming with out getting wet etc.. is what the sweat science is about . Marquez is one of those guys, Juan Diaz said that it wasn't marquez's power, but more so his punch placement and counter punching accuracy, timmy Bradley will have his hands full if he does not strictly box marquez - timmy has horrible punching technique but good ring IQ / conditioning / and confidence - Marquez is not a risk taker, calculated counter puncher, and uses superior ring IQ - he will test timmy's chin

I do agree tho,Prov is smart for saying this..Keep his name out there and land another big fight..I think his next big fight will be against Alvarado, and sad to say..I think he'll lose that one..
It's just my opinion anyway, I don't think boxing should always be scored conventially, sometimes it should be obvious that if the fight would have lasted a few more rounds who would win and who wouldn't, in terms of damage done provodnikov won very spectacularly, in a Olympic style Bradley won... but overall... Bradley wouldn't have survived that fight much longer.
In regards to how his face looked after the fight, that's not a valid way to judge anything. Genetics determines skin sensitivity and bone structure determines how easily certain areas bruise and swell up under pressure. Also, it's very hard to see when a black fighters face is bruised up and damaged compared to someone as pale as Provodnikov. Bradley took x10 more damage in every meaning of the word, it was just all focused on his brain and not his face.Last edited by T18Z; 06-06-2013, 05:04 PM.
