Junior welterweight contender Ruslan Provodnikov recently spoke to gorodokboxing.com about a possible future match up against pound for pound king Floyd Mayweather. BoxingScene.com recently caught up with Provodnikov and asked him for further clarification on why he thinks he can defeat the WBC welterweight/WBA junior middleweight champion.

"I think I will fight Floyd Mayweather in the near future and I think it will be a very exciting fight where I will push Floyd to have to change his game plan once or twice throughout the fight," Provodnikov explained while also say that he thinks his trainer will have the game plan to give Mayweather his first loss. The guy is just trying to get himself out there and recognized, he will practically fight anyone, but is just taking the chance at calling out big names so he can get some more spotlight and be better known to improve his career. He went from ESPN fights to demolishing Bradley, and he knows that he has to be a bit more active within the community to seize the opportunities to keep himself and his family comfortable money wise.

He's a very kind guy with a nice set of skills who is new to the spotlight, but knows he has to put himself out there, I don't think he would beat Mayweather, but you can't fault him for wanting to try.

Give the guy a break.

I do agree tho,Prov is smart for saying this..Keep his name out there and land another big fight..I think his next big fight will be against Alvarado,and sad to say..I think he'll lose that one..
