Lightweight contender Terence Crawford (20-0) took a major step up in March when he moved up to 140 pounds and defeated Columbian puncher Breidis Prescott. Crawford spoke to us on BoxingScene earlier this week about what is easily the biggest win of his career.

"I was impressed with a lot of things I did in the ring but I looked at the tape and saw a lot of things like keeping my hands up that I can improve on. Overall I thought I did well though," Crawford explained.

Looking forward to seeing more of this guy, IMO one of the better overall prospects ready to break though in this sport. A very well schooled fighter. You don't see that, that often anymore.

I was surprise that a guy would not only take a huge step up, would do it on TV, against a guy from a higher division, and do it on short notice, and look so good in doing it!! He reminds me a little of Pernel Whitaker who could sit in the pocket, make a guy miss and make him pay. Too bad many fighters Teams don't think the same way team Crawford does because that was a risk and it paid off. He is anything but overprotected. On top of that seems humble.

Top-notch guy. Would put him at 50-50 against Vasquez and favourite over everyone else, including Burns.

I am guessing Prescott was the first time most of us saw this guy and boy was he impressive. Looking at his future very closely.

He should fight Gamboa after a couple of fights. That'd be something else.

He got booed in the Prescott fight, came back in the next rd n stepped up the work rate. That's how he needs to fight. More aggressive if he wants to really make it.

I don't think he's normally like that. He stepped in as late replacement, one division up, against a giant dude with a good punch and lots of experience. Top prospects don't get matched like that on short notice. He had to be smart.
