I still think Ward takes it at 175 but it's a much more competitive fight. Chad looked pretty shell shocked against Ward, I think the weight had a big affect. He learned a hard lesson in calling people out, he got what he asked for and he didn't like how it tasted. I'd watch a rematch at 175 for sure though.

If there's a rematch, it should happen at 175lbs without question. Chad holds the physical advantages at that weight and the fight would be much tougher on Ward. In the end though, I question Chad's heart and mental toughness at times. Those factors separate the great talents from the great fighters. Ward UD

I'm one of those who felt like Chad was drained...he lost the fight at the tables imo...not in the ring!!...that rematch is high on my wish list....Ward can't stay at 168 forever....when he decides to come up you can bet Bad Chad will be waiting for that ass.....atm I give Ward his props and he's the top dude p4p on my list based off of who he beat and when he beat them....but I feel deep down that Chad has EVERYTHING needed to beat Ward and I do believe he'll prove me right if they fight again at 175

Almost everything, he's not that strong at the mental game, and that's Ward's big asset. Also, rematching him at 175 is not the same as facing him for the first time at 175. It'll be surprising if he can totally erase that rout mentally, even though his excuse is legit. Some doubt may start creeping in, since he just saw how misplaced his confidence can be.

Chad Dawson has NOBODY to BLAME but himself, HE CALLED out Andre Ward saying "I want to fight Andre Ward and I'll drop down to 168lbs or a catchweight to fight him". He put his foot in his mouth by EVEN saying 168lbs!! What he should of said was "catchweight or 175lbs". In any case Ward will BEAT him at 175lbs too!

No speculation Gary Shaw said it point blank before the fight standing next to Goossen and Ward that they insisted on 168 and refused catchweight made it clear who want the fight at 168

The question is, can Dawson keep fighting at 175 and for how much longer? Ward looks like he intents to stay at 168 for about 2 more fights.
