World Boxing Council president Don Jose Sulaiman has issued a statement welcoming Chinese president Xi Jinping and his distinguished wife to Mexico.
The president’s wife is the famous Chinese singer Peng Liyuan, a household name in China. They were married in 1987.
In his welcome statement, Sulaiman also congratulated Mexican president Enrique Pena Nieto for his establishment of good relations with China which the WBC president referred to as “this great country.”
