tarver should have been given the nod in the first johnston fight and was the clear winner in the second. hes the champ and he deserves to talk alot of ****. hes either going to back it up or get his mouth shut, and either is fine with me

I tend to agree. Tarver has had a good year for sure, beating the two other top lightheavies and i think has earned his right to brag for a bit.
If Tarver were to achieve a win over Lacy.....well then he could claim to be the pound 4 pound and many might agree....

okay, he's been on a few talk shows where they have to find people to fill the spots every single night, but.... go up to 1,000 different random people in america today and maybe, maybe 5 will know who Antonio Tarver is.

i do tend to agree with the other comments on this thread so far, as long as he backs up his talk (but if this is the case, he's got alot of boxing to get to)

absolutely not, there are very few 'current' boxers that mainstream america knows about right now (i.e. a Mike Tyson, Roy Jones Jr, etc). all i'm saying is that no one knows about Tarver either, even as much as he talks.. i'd never lie just because they're two of my favorite fighters.

Tarver is easily the most popular American fighter competing today. I don't think it's the least bit debatable unless you wanna throw Jermain Taylor's name out there.
