Kid Chocolate couldn't hurt Froch

I love people who still question Froch's chin
Down once in the career he's had, I think we can give him the benefit of the doubtComment

I thought you were alluding to Froch moving down to fight a 160 pounder which some people have been talking about.
Other than that why would there be a thread about a 160 fighter being unable to hurt 168 Froch with headgear?
It would make sense say if it was a LHW or a CW but a SMW being unaffected by MWs punches isn't noteworthy - in fact it's a standard expectation for a heavier fighter to be able to more easily absorb punches from a lighter fighter.Comment

I love the constant upgrading of Wards performances
now he "buzzed froch several times"
give it a few months and all of a sudden it'll be "ward had him rocking all over the ring, i can't belive the ref didn't stop it"
and the legend growsComment

I know the round you're referring to, but Froch wasn't hurt. Dirrell got his attention, that was about it. Kessler hurt Froch in the 11th.
Because Quillin is a wicked puncher. I was impressed to hear him say Froch was impervious to his shots (headgear or not). I think Quillin has 11 knockdowns in 2 fights.I thought you were alluding to Froch moving down to fight a 160 pounder which some people have been talking about.

People miss the point about Froch's chin. Sure, he can take a big shot and walk right through it, but that isn't what makes him so specially durable. Froch recovers from a big shot that buzzes him faster than 99% of fighters and that's because of his conditioning - Wolverine-esque. Froch always stays in shape and leads a very healthy lifestyle, meaning that he doesn't have to cut much weight to make 168 - a huge advantage over most fighters. On the occasions when a fighter has buzzed him, his body recovers before they can capitalise.
It'll take a big shot that Froch doesn't see coming, followed by a quick and savage follow-up to stop Froch. I just don't see anyone out there who can do it.Comment

Actually Ward knocked Froch into outer space but the referee gave him an extra long count on purpose.Comment

Froch wasn't really hurt by the knockdown against Taylor.A career 160 lb'er in Jermain Taylor put Froch on his ass and had him hurt BADLY. And Taylor was never even a puncher @ 160.
Dirrell hurt Froch with a big right hand during their fight.
And Ward... who has Serta mattress pillows for fists stopped Froch in his tracks just about everytime he landed.
Froch has a superb chin, but he's not unknockoutable @ 168. No fighter is in any division is really.
Cept for Oliver McCall of course.
Dirrell and Kessler both buzzed him momentarily.
He's never been badly hurt.Comment
