The International Boxing Federation (IBF) ordered the negotiations for the World Lightweight title fight (135 pounds) between Panamanian challenger Ameth Diaz (32-11, 23 KOs) and reigning Miguel Vazquez (33-3, 13 KOs) of Mexico.

Diaz will be represented by Isthmus Promotions and Events, chaired by Roger Espiņo, while Vazquez is by Fernando Beltran's Zanfer Promotions.

Both companies have until July 3 to reach a deal or a purse bid will get ordered. [Click Here To Read More]

      Again.

What a worthless mandatory. It's to bad Quintero broke his nose and had to pull out of the eliminator bout with Diaz. I thought Quintero would beat Diaz in a good fight. I wouldn't have minded seeing Vazquez Quintero II because it was a close fight. But Vazquez Diaz II is pointless. Diaz will be easily outclassed again.

This is what happens when the other so called champions duck a real champ. Even Gamboa ducked Vasquez.
