Just thought I'd point out that ******s do indeed wear turbans. Yes, they were kufis also, but the turban has always been the traditional headwear for Arabs and ******s.

What Cunningham has said here is clearly an attempt to take a dig at Khan's ethnicity/background. He looks like an Arab or an Indian (the type you see driving yellow cabs in New York), and so he saw an opportunity to say something about a turban which people like Khan wear. The outcry would be ridiculous if Khan said "I'll beat him up so bad he won't be able to eat watermelons for a month".
