Then again its not a big deal to me, your not "exceeding" the weight limitation so if both parties agree why are fans pizzing the bed about their favorite lil man loosing because he was drained off two freaking pounds!!!!
hahahahaha!!!! On the Donny Ray Ray bout everyone then knew it was a joke title buy out and No One took it seriously!!! Ray.
The fighters are going to make the best deal they can for themselves. It's up to the people in charge of the titles like the WBC, WBO, IBF and the WBA to inforce the rules and they don't. I think usually these catchweight fights would have ended the same way without the catchweight but it's the principal of it that's wrong.Let's say Mayweather beats Canelo and decides to have his last 4 fights as the Jr. middleweight champ in that weight class. Does he have the right to make all challengers fight him at a top weight of 152? If Martinez decides he likes fighting at 158 better than 160 should he be able to make all challengers weigh in at no more than 158? Should Leonard get the same credit for winning the light heavyweight title at a top weight of 168 as Hearns gets for winning the light heavyweight title at the the full 175 pounds? I don't have an answer to the problem and I am sure lots of title fights at catchweight will continue to be made. I just don't like it and I think lots of other fans don't like it either.

He doesnt care about the cw. He's only pretending he's mad about it, so he can use it as a hate tactic against Floyd. Mostly everyone I know is too excited about the fight happening, to even notice the cw.

Leonard was one of the best negotiators in the game, of course he would have done the same, he probably would have achieved more advantages than Floyd.

Cherry picker or not, name just 1 welterweight that would have beaten Leonard in his prime.

Antonio Margarito would have walked him down and stopped him.

You're reducing Leonard's status as one of the finest welterweights this sport has ever seen to the sort of lowbrow argument that Mayweather fans use to justify him not fighting certain fighters.

Leonard wasn't anything close to being a cherry-picker during his prime years.
