@ rockin... I have been training for a while now, ive won the golden gloves, the usa's and the cal state pal. I also took 2nd in the adidas national last year. I was off a few years just taking a fight or 2 a year but decided to get busy this year since i was laid off from northrop grumman. Im planning on going pro in late july if i can stay busy. Thanks for the advise but id like you to know i know the straight shot from the power hand is the best but this guy was so tight up up the middle i was looping the right just to get him to open up, thats why i was following with the upper cuts. Im actually normally a boxer who works off the jab and looks for counter shots but seeing how long this guys range was (6'3 and im 5'10) i knew what his plan would be so i put pressure on him from the start to take his legs away and make him work when he didnt want to. I can tell you know what youre talking about so i respect your input very much but just wanted you to know my thought process on the subject. Thanks again and thanks to everybody who had something to say from the good stuff to the haters, i take it all in as positive feedback

He did grab a few times i just would either work in the clinch or beat on him with the free hand until he let go. thats the difference between a clinch and a hold, holding gets you beat on and clinching is an art if done right. ie hopkins, ward, klitchko ect
