Canelo does not have the required punching volume in order to put Floyd into trouble — Canelo will go for the KO… This is his only chance against Floyd… Otherwise, Floyd will win his usual 9 rounds per fight…

De La Hoya has thrown 587 punches in the Floyd fight… Canelo threw only 431 punches in the Trout fight — and landed 124 (29%)… Canelo landed only 28 jabs (14%!!!)…
In the Guerrero fight, Floyd threw 476 punches and landed 195 (41%)… Floyd was also 5% up to the jab (against Canelo)…

(Alvarez said he will go for the body -- Floyd's body will be hard to be found, but if Canelo somehow finds the body it should better be a KO punch to the liver...)

I stand by my Canelo ko over Floyd prediction. And if Floyd beats Canelo legitimately with no duane ford bs controversial type ****, then I would'nt bet against floyd ever again, ever. If Canelo doesn't beat Floyd nobody will.
If Canelo beats Floyd it won't be by KO; Floyd chin is probaly the most underrated thing about him. I'm sure he'll have some strong guys in camp so by fight night he's very prepared. I can't wait for it though I probaly won't sit down during the fight.

Read my post above... Canelo can KO Floyd with an uppercut to the body only... Canelo's best punching hand is his left...

Maybe; but Canelo telling the world he's gonna attack the body will only make Floyd stregthen that area. But we will see how it plays out.

even an KO wouldn't affect Canelo his fans won't care; a Ko for Floyd would be nuclear

i completely disagree. confidence. floyd destroys confidence. very similar to bhop. in a young fighter like canelo, brimming with overconfidence, a one sided loss to floyd could easily destroy his confidence. how do u feel when u realize someone is worlds above u in a sport that youve devoted your life to? a lot of older guys accept this and move on. some create excuses, but a young guy can easily have his confidence destroyed. this is what will be important. if canelo loses his confidence, his career will take a certain swing he may never recover from.

It's a no lose situation for ANYONE who fights Floyd.

                      - They get their biggest pay day
                      - People already expect them to lose so losing doesn't really hurt their career
                      - They likely won't take a great deal of punishment

That's why every guy within 2 weight classes north or south of him want to fight him.
