Good article but like many people who are taking Mayweather in this fight, including this writer of the article are overlooking Canelo. Canelo by far is the toughest competition he has ever faced. And you could quote me, Canelo will win by knockout. I feel so confident going into this fight with Floyd's opponent winning then ever before. Canelo is no joke, plain and simple, n september 14, we will all see. Only thing that concerns me for Canelo is the 2 pound CW and stamina (which I believe he will fix). As for Floyd, yes the guy is so damn skilled. But can Floyd at 36 take a young lions punch who hits like a truck? Sept 14th is gonna be epic!!!!

Not a chance. I see a 12 round shutout for Floyd. I have my doubts that Canelo will even do as good as Guerrero.

He can't lose... he's not at his comfortable weight... ergo a win against him wouldn't count

Lol. Compared to Guerrero? Really? Lol. I won't argue going back n forth because I learned on this boxing site that debates never end. But I will say this, I could respect anybody predicting Floyd to win becaue he is #1 p4p and is undefeated and deserves that spot till somebody beats him, he's earned that right,.......but in all honesty....... I stand by my Canelo ko over Floyd prediction. And if Floyd beats Canelo legitimately with no duane ford bs controversial type ****, then I would'nt bet against floyd ever again, ever. If Canelo doesn't beat Floyd nobody will.

I'll keep it simple..This kid surprised a ton of people with his performance versus Trout...Stamina lesson aside..I doubt this kid will come to the ring as unprepared as Guerrero did and he's faster/hits harder than Cotto. Should be an interesting fight.

Is a no lose situation for Canelo. If he wins he is the new mega star in boxing and if he loses he will have an excuse and go on to fight Cotto next year in another mega fight. But still I feel this fight makes no sense from the stand point of Canelo growth in the sport.

Totally agree. There's many people who are just pushing Canelo to the side as just another opponent in the likes of Robert Guerrero, Victor Ortiz, Ricky Hatton, JMM, etc, etc. Canelo is no joke. And on Sept 14th, we will see the best prepared Canelo ever.

Nothing would make me happier then seeing Canelo ko Floyd, but I don't see in my wildest dreams that happening. Canelo isn't a big pressure fighter and that is going to allow Floyd potshot him all night long. When Canelo fought Trout, Tout threw a lot of punches from the outside. Even though a lot of those punches missed, it kept Canelo from throwing much back. When Floyd throws potshots, he doesn't hardly miss. If Canelo doesn't throw many punches back , I just can't see Canelo winning and they aren't just going to give him the fight, like they did when he fought Trout.

I truly believe Canelo will catch Floyd with a straight right or left that's gonna hurt him. And unlike how shane hurt floyd slightly but went for the kill and gassed in the 2nd round, I see Canelo hurting Floyd at one time but being patient and waiting to box the full 12 rounds. I then see Canelo catching floyd with another shot in the later rounds, hurting him, and finishing him. Whether this happens or not, will be answered on Sept 14th. No doubt this fight is intriguing which makes it a MEGA FIGHT. And I believe in Canelo because I've watched his last 7 fights and each fight he's shown me improvement in each of them. Some bring up the Gomez fight and that Canelo got hit and is vulnerable, but let not forget, Canelo demonstrated a new style (Floyd shoulder roll, which Canelo verbally stated that he admired Floyds style and thought it was the best out there. Another sign that Canelo is truly a student of the game) that night and he was practicing with it. To me it wasn't a good style for Canelo but Canelo was still effective.

I really do hope Canelo wins as I'm tired of being in the Floyd/Pacman era, but I have no doubt this will be a very easy fight for Mayweather. I really don't see anything that impresses me about Canelo other than being a hard puncher and puts combinations very well. I see him as a young Cotto with Cotto being the more skillful of the two. That stamina is going to be his demise.

I got 50 billion on Mayweather. Send me a PM to put your money where your mouth is on this one.
