Earlier today an article ran on BoxingScene by Edward Chaykovsky that stated that contracts are nearly finalized for a December 7th showdown between IBF welterweight champion Devon Alexander (25-1, 14KOs) and British superstar Amir Khan (28-3, 19KOs). According to the article, there is a good chance that the fight will take place in Dubai, UAE, where the ruling family is looking to put on a fight card.

How about the fact that out of 7.8 mln people in UAE 1.2 mln are Pakistanis? And the fact that most of these 1.2 mln are migrant workers and likely to be males? Away from home, people take any opportunity to gather around their own kind and support their own. Khan could just as well be fighting in Pakistan (where his family hails from).
