It's a fight Khan could win, but I think that at this current state he's in a vulnerable position: halfway between his old, reckless self and a newer, more "measured" approach. But that might not suit him very well.

In the past I would have thought, despite his deficiencies, he could probably overwhelm a guy like Alexander. He may not be able to do that any more.

First of all, I don't see how the winner of this fight gets Mayweather.

I think if Khan wins, he should be forced to fight Danny Garcia again if anything. Garcia absolutely FLATTENED him. He *must* avenge that loss before he moves up.

That said, I think Khan should get passed Alexander. And if he doesn't, he's really screwed.

Not to turn this into another Floyd-bashing thread but honestly, the idea that these two guys - who have been battered around the ring by Peterson, Garcia, Julio ****ing Diaz, Bradley, Kotelnik, Matthyse - have only got to beat the other to get a shot at Mayweather is appalling.

We joke about Berto being the road that leads to Floyd Mayweather - but I would honestly and truly fancy Berto to beat these two. Hell, Berto would give Floyd a better fight.
