Comments Thread For: Chemito Moreno vs. Javier Chacon is Being Discussed

The return of WBA bantamweight "super" champoin Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno (33-2, 12KOs) is reportedly being targeted for July 20 in Panama. The discussed opponent is Argentine fighter Javier Chacon (18-1, 4KOs). There are other sources who say the Moreno-Chacon bout will take place on August 17th, also in Panama. Moreno, who is no longer promoted by Golden Boy Promotions, has been out of the ring since last November's twelve round decision loss to Abner Mares.

Why did he leave GBP? Now he won't be shown on major networks that often, if at all anymore.

That's a ridiculous statement. Mares beat him decisively. To say that somebody took a guy's soul, that refers to absolute, total ass whooping and domination, in a manner that leaves the guy in a helpless state rethinking his life choices. Something like what Bernard Hopkins did to Kelly Pavlik.
