Everything canelos saying has been said before by previous mayweather opponents. What canelo should be saying/acknowledging is that his stamina has been **** up to date, and he'll need to improve it to have any sort of chance against mayweather.

I'm hoping for a competitive match. But I don't expect it. Canelo is a good fighter but he lacks experience against elite opponents. This shortcoming is going to show big time. Trout was a big jump for him and he handled it well. Floyd is another level or two above that. Whatever happens, I hope he focuses on body work. Headhunting against Floyd is a waste of time for now.

I agree. We all know that there's no way the Canelo is going to outbox Floyd and win the fight in the middle of the ring. Canelo does have fast hands and is a great body puncher (ie vs J. Lopez) so his best chance is to land some big body shots against the ropes. That said, with Floyd's championship experience and masterful defense it's going to be a tough chore.

Mayweather is fighting the best available opposition, BUT Guerrero did nothing, he telegraphed single shots all night, when he was in the inside he did not thought combinations, it was one of the worst fights ever.
I hope Canelo @ least put a show, but Mayweather will give him a teaching of movement and distance control.
After this, Mayweather should take Pacman and finish him too "peeleft:

That's cause Floyd sees the punches coming either way. When they try the body he blocks it by putting his forearm on the inside of their elbow joint eventually cause the ref to break and when they go for the head he does what you said. Its the quick reflexes.

basically he's going to get desperate.everybody always says that until they either get hit.or frustrated when the mayweather target isn't there to be hit.if alvarez throws those same combos like in the trout fight.he'd better take cover because the incoming counters will be fast and accurate.

"I’m going to train very hard and become used to his style. Floyd is a very fast boxer, very smart who knows how to counter, but he’s not a fighter who punches a lot."

Post a quote of another previous Mayweather opponent who said anything like that. Canelo is actually spot on in this assessment.. Whether or not he can capitalize on his findings is another matter entirely. I believe in order to beat Floyd you pretty much have to be obsessed with watching film and studying everything he does and from watching 24/7's n All Access I haven't seen any of Floyd's opponents studying film nearly as much as they should. Usually they pretty much leave that up to their trainer.. The stamina issue thing has been overblown IMO. In the Trout fight Canelo knew he was comfortably ahead and coasted in the final rounds.. He didn't look fatigued at all after the fight. And if he knows their is an issue with stamina I think Canelo's is a bright enough kid to already know he has to fix it before facing Floyd, he doesn't need the experts on ESB to post it here for him. Do I think he'll win.. Probably not, cause like I said he lacks the speed and he's very flat footed, but so far he has the right mentality. He can't think "Ohhh even if I lose I'll get a huge payday and gain some experience" EFF NO!.. He has to be confident and work hard starting like yesterday to be in the best position he can be in both physically and especially mentally in order to go in and WIN this fight.

Canelo is patient. This could work for him a bit. Floyd loves when guys get overeager and frustrated. At least if Canelo gets frustrated, he will be able to sit back and think before doing something dumb.

Guerrero looked like a little brother mad trying to beat up his older brother that teased him.

He'll be 23 years old and in the biggest fight of his career. This is his shot at being the man who beat The Man. How can he not take the magnitude of that into the ring with him?
