Comments Thread For: Cleverly Vows: I'll Go To 168 To Punish Arrogant Froch

WBO light heavyweight champion Nathan Cleverly (26-0, 12KOs) is willing to drop down to 168-pounds to challenge WBA/IBF super middleweight champion Carl Froch. Cleverly has challenged Froch in the past, with the Nottingham boxer refusing to make a division leap to 175. If Froch refuses to move up, then Cleverly is willing to move down.

“I know I can beat Froch so I’m more than happy to move down a division to show people what I can do. It would be tough for me to move down, but it’s a sacrifice I’m willing to take in order to make this barnstorming fight happen," Cleverly told Wales Online. "That is how bad I want this fight. If you do it right (lose the weight) it’s possible – you can keep your strength and power.”

Would love to see you try.

Cleverly can try and pull a Dawson if he wants.

I don't think Cleverly is good enough, even in his own weight class.

Just imagine if Dawson had beat Ward.

Lineal, Ring, blah, blah, blah, top -0 P4P.

              Oh well.

Better still Clev, go and beat some decent people in your own weight class first and prove you're not the paper champ everyone thinks you are.
