Comments Thread For: DeGale Ready For Groves Rematch, Froch, Title Bout

JAMES DEGALE is determined to get that ‘top of the world’ feeling by the end of this year.

The former British and European super-middleweight champion has set his sights on landing a world title.

And he is so keen to fulfil that dream he is now preparing for his second fight in just 22 days.

The 27-year-old 2008 Olympic gold medallist will meet Croatian Stjepan Bozic at Bluewater, Kent, a week tonight, in a contest to be screened live on Channel 5. [Click Here To Read More]

needs to fight a top 10 fighter first. Stayin active is good but fighting a Sakio Bika, Arthur Abraham, Karoly Balzsay or andre dirrell would improve his case. If he came through a couple of these fight, yes

Groves will continue to run from the rematch almost as bad as he ran in the fight.

He wouldn't get a 3rd straight gift decision and he knows it.

DeGale should focus on climbing those WBC rankings and getting a shot at Bika.

Exactly. I think he's one good win away from the likes of Groves or even Froch, but that's exactly where he'll stay if he doesn't step up.

Right now Groves would walk straight through DeGale. DeGale was even hit too easily by that Mohoumadi guy, and if Mohoumadi had been Sierra, DeGale would have been bullied and knocked out.

Groves wouldn't have struggled with Wilczewski either.

Groves wouldn't fight DeGale on the back foot now. He'd take him on, and he has the jab, the range of punches and the power to knock him out.

For what it's worth I largely agree with you.
