Just last year Gamboa while under TopRank was set to face Brandon Rios in one of the biggest fights in boxing, instead a year later, while under the new SMS promotions that was supposed to change the boxing game, he's now fighting Perez in Canada.

Imagine he gets stopped by Perez on this undercard, what a waste that'd be. I sure hope not, and shouldn't happen, but you never know. Perez is a lot bigger, decent amateur, and punches hard enough. Still he could barely deal with Baha's footwork, Gamboa should be too much unless Perez lucks out.

Once the partnership fell through with Floyd (if there ever was one) I knew 50 would have trouble. Floyd added credibility to the company. He is the name that fighters respect and aspire to be like (as far as monetary accomplishments). No Floyd and 50 is just another guy selling dreams with no reputation in the business.
