Martin Gethin's hopes of landing a world title shot were shattered after he was stopped in the seventh round by Ammeth Diaz in Walsall. A victory would have made the British lightweight champion the mandatory challenger to take on Mexico's Miguel Vazquez. But the local man was bludgeoned over seven rounds by the Panamanian, who will now get another crack at Vazquez a year after losing to the champion.

So now we get to see Miguel Vazquez humiliate Ameth Diaz for the second time. Ameth Diaz is too slow to beat Miguel Vazquez, in the last fight they had, Ameth could not land any clean power punches on Miguel. It's a shame that Adrien Broner is too scared to fight the lightweight IBF world champion, Miguel Vazquez has been calling Broner out for years now, and Broner don't want any part of that fight.
