Catch-weight could it be for glove size???

This whole 152lb. catch-weight is a bit hypocritical of Floyd. I understand that the past 154lbers that he faced were multi-divisional champs who didn't start as even Welters but the Oscar that Floyd fought I feel was a tougher task than Alvarez is now imo. I'm hoping this whole catch-weight situation was Floyds way of saying **** the commission and we'll find a way to get 8oz gloves for a 154lb. fight. I think the gloves are the biggest difference between how Floyd looks fighting from 147lbs to 154lbs. Floyd seems to be a tad bit slower, doesn't seem to have as much pop, and his punches seem to get blocked more with the bigger gloves. I'm sure the opponents have a lot to do with it to but the gloves imo seem to take a little bit away from Floyd who's already at a disadvantage by fighting guys so much bigger than him. I'm just glad this fight got done and if Matthysse vs Garcia comes off I'm sure more people will understand that it was Arum ****ing up most the good fights(Gamboa vs Juanma, Pac vs Mayweather, etc...)

No. It's not about glove weight it's about hoping to weaken Canelo by making him come in two pounds below the jr.middleweight limit and that's all it's about. Floyd is a very strong muscular man and he is not going to have his punches slowed down by a glove that is two ounces heavier. If two lousy ounces would slow Floyd's punches down it would slow Canelo's punches down just as much.Nobody said a word about glove weight and if that was a reason Floyd would have said so. He is not the quite type. Jr. middleweights fight with 10 ounce gloves and that's what Floyd and Canelo will be fighting with.

Floyd said in floydhype interview, cause supposedly Canelo call him out at a 150 catchweight, but they both agreed that 152lb was great for both

I don't think anyone knows the glove size yet. But I'm sure Floyd would insist on larger oz. because of hand problems and Canelo's power advantage.

Those 2 pounds may take a bit out of Canelo. We already saw what his stamina was for Trout And Floyd can go all 12. At that, that I know of, the top strength and conditioning coaches are not available. Picking Floyd in 12 UD but I AM rooting for Canelo. My heart and my money go in different directions every once in a while.

The fight will be with 10 oz gloves, I'm sure. It's for titles at 154 and Mayweather-Cotto couldn't get smaller gloves even when they both requested it.

After 147 u can't use 8 oz gloves. Even If your not at the full jr mw limit like they will fight. He wanted to drain him like his boy PAC.
