WBC/WBA junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (42-0-1, 30KOs) has made a big promise to all of his countrymen in Mexico - "I'm going to beat the best fighter in the world." Canelo defends his title against pound-for-pound Floyd Mayweather Jr. (42-0, 26KOs) on September 14th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. I love it when his opponents say this because it always ends the same way

He is big so this is a great possibility. He will be an unstoppable monster if he does win.

Yeah yeah. We heard that from the last bloke on May Day. What happened to him again?

Seriously though, what did we expect him to say "I'm gonna try to beat Floyd since others haven't but if I loose, fans please support me cause I tried"

I'm disappointed in Canelo. I thought he was better at mind games.

He is just as undefated as Floyd. Instead of being just another guy who says that he is going to beat Floyd, he should of said, "I am not going to lose to Floyd".

There is a difference between the two. Floyd never talks about beating guys so much as that he will simply not lose. A missed opportunity by Canelo.

Maybe he's doing DOUBLE mind games.

                    Or triple, super-dooper, mind games.

Or maybe he knows that Floyd won't fall for any silly mind games & he's just being honest.

Naah, it must be the super-doopah mind games.
