Las Vegas - Chris Avalos of San Diego will take on super bantamweight Drian Francisco of the Philippines on Top Rank's ESPN Friday Night Fights card in the Dallas Events Center at the Texas Station ******** Hall & Casino on July 12.
Avalos has a record of 21-2 with 16 knockouts. Francisco is 23-1-1 with 18 knockouts. The main event is scheduled for 10 rounds.
The big card will include an anticipated showdown between two young undefeated fighters. Glen Tapia, 18-0, 10 KOs, of Passaic, N.J. will face Abie Han, 19-0, 12 KOs, of El Paso, Texas. The super welterweight bout is set for 10 rounds.
There will be a full card of fights including local favorites.
First bell is 5 pm local time. The televised bouts begin 7 pm.
