I agree. At least if this fight does happen it should put a W on Cotto's record. You know the Trout fight had to mess with Cotto's head.I like to think he had an off night that night, but Trout done what he was supposed to to win.Even though he lost to Floyd he fought a great fight that night. If he does fight K9 and loses this one...well that kinda speaks for itself.

Defending against Carlos Molina July 19th, he's not available. K9 is a decent fight coming off two loses in a row, he needs to get back in the win column first and foremost.

Cotto is making a huge mistake here, I except him to win but K9 is one of the dirtiest fighter in the sport, I could see Cotto getting headbutted, cut and punched behind the head, and all that attributing to him getting hurt or even dropped. There is absolutely no reason for him to take this fight, none, Miguel needs to look elsewhere.

Cotto will punish him for about 8-9 rounds, easy win. I read rumours of an Ortiz fight, that would have been much better.

I would have loved to watch Cotto/Delvin. Delvin is coming off off some good win streaks, was featured in an entertaining espn fight and also name dropped Cotto on tv.

K9 does not have a belt. Ishe Smith took his IBF belt. That said, Ishe and Lara are booked, Ortiz is fighting a tune up 1st coming back from injury and layoff, Delvin is a very weak B side/ESPN fighter (although I wouldn't mind that fight). K9 is known from contender, he is a solid B side fighter. As for people being worried he's too dirty: let us not forget Cotto can get down and dirty when he needs to as well. Im a huge Cotto fan but lets keep it 100...He'll low blow if needed and he'll body slam a mofo in the ring...he's done it before.

I like the fight, NY atmosphere...he needs a W. he'll be in good position to rematch Manny or Floyd (or fight Canelo if he wins) or fight Molina-Ishe winner for a trinket.

Cotto was ****** for fighting Trout. He should've fought K9 when he had a belt and not when he's beltless.
