Canelo doesnt have the gas to make this match even.. He is skilled, but his stamina issue will be the factor for Mayweather winning comfortably a UD.

I see it that way too.But I think it's going to be very exciting for awhile but down the stretch Alvrez's stamina is going to play a problem for him.Canelo is a big kid,it's getting harder and harder each fight to keep making his weight class.Floyd is smart,the 2 pounds don't seem like much but Floyd wants him to work harder and be drained going in.I think it plays in Floyd's favor.It's going to be a fun fight the first half.

Look folks need to stop patting themselves on the back acting like they negotiated this fight and shh..the only reason this fight is happening is because DLH made it happen and forced the fight on both guys. Notice how Schaeffer was blabbing about ppv numbers but has as of yet presented any numbers on the Guerrero bout..it was a failure and guaranteeing Floyd $32 million to fight Khan, Alexander, etc makes no sense. Glad it's happening but all the praise bullshh needs to die down..the man had to do what he had to do to keep getting them big checks nothing more. Canelo must be fast and quick

He must land the left hook to the body EARLY

He must start fast and he must pressure Jr, beat him on the shoulders arms elbows and break thru that guard

Canelo must start intense but get more intense as the fight progresses

He must do all he can to take Jr's legs from him from the first ten seconds

NOT go for the KO, looking for the big shot that won't come but just do all he can to break JR down from the first ten seconds.

Jr's power is lacking so Canelo won't need to worry about some sneaky punch

Canelo must make the ballerina come off his toes and walk then go in with more intensity and go for the KILL

Come on, get outta here with that BS. Floyd himself said, "weight doesn't win fights, skills do." Why make it a catchweight fight then? Dude, he fought Cotto and ODLH at 154 lbs. Why not Canelo? He could've easily put in a re-hydration clause and nobody would have said *****.

Floyd has a reputation for cherry picking and dodging top competition or putting them at a disadvantage and this just further perpetuates that - any way you cut it.

LOL Its funny that this whole catch weight thing will be the focus of many many arguments that will go on for ever, even past the fight when Mayweather wins. Its only two pounds Canelo has to come down. He can do it without any problems. Having him come down to 147 was a problem. Canelo is naturally a little bigger than Floyd, so this evens it out a little bit. Being for a fight between them, its fine. Being for the lineal title, it does suck. My attitude is **** it. At least the fight is happening and we will all be excited to see it when it happens.

not sure if there has been answered...but because of the fact the fight is taking place @ 152, is floyd then allowed to use 8oz gloves?

I know the boxing commission will not allow the use of 8oz for 154+ fights that take place, and i can't really see the huge advantage of floyd getting canelo to drop an additional 2 lbs...could this be possible with the gloves?

what other opponent has floyd put at a disadvantage? also, check my question about whether this 152 lb weight limit gives floyd the ability to use 8oz gloves, since fights @ 154 lbs+ require 10oz gloves. remember, he begged the commission to allow him to use 8oz gloves against cotto, but they strictly prohibit it. this could be the reason why the catchweight, if that's the case.

I heard that there is a rehydration clause that says Canelo cannot weigh over 162 fight night or it's $1 million per pound! What do you have to say to that along with the catchweight?

Catchweight is bad enough but if that clause is true it's a complete bi*ch move!!!!
