this is hilarious. all of the sudden 2lbs is not a problem. these are the same crybabies that cried about CW with pac/cotto, stating the 2lbs compromised cotto. also, i thought CW for titles was a big no-no.... oh boy. lots of sig worthy flip-flopping going on here.

for the record: i have no beef with CW. if it makes a fight happen, and both fighters agree and go in top shape, lets make it happen. im stoked for floyd/canelo.... floyd making the fight at 152 is CLEARLY suspect, since the dude made such a big stink about "fighting the best at THEIR best weight".

this HAS to be a joke... how the heck is this fight not at 154?????

      floyd fans make no sense

The excuse now is that floyd can do catchweights cause he the king???? its still a cheat if u consider pacquiaos vd delahoya at 145(even tho he waa coming up to divisons, or cotto pac at 145.....personally idc that much the fight got made, its hippocritcal as **** but u wont hear me complain much other then at floyds fans for hypocrisy.....floyds gonna win, maybe get knockeddown cuz canelo got power, but i still feel like canelo really cudda benefited from another yr of learning....now he has to throw all his eggs in one basket an pray he lands a flush power shot

I say Canelo better run to Memo Heredia if he wants to remain in the fight with Mayweather for 12 rounds. If Floyd senses that Canelo is gassout he will connect and score......Canelo definatly needs a better candition to make it more conpetitive.

Good fight non the less...I'm looking forward.

Great fight!! Many did not believe that it would happen, but it has. I am not at all happy about the weight limit, but as another poster said it is just a smokescreen for 8oz gloves and Canelo just comes in at 154 with a very small penalty I am cool with it. On another note, if I see Frank Ducketts avatar again I might have to go buy some tissues...

How is it that your guy Sugar ray did the same yet he became middleweight champ?

                  Oh how quickly that changed.
Don't worry bro, once that red-headed step child has his ears boxed off, you still got Marquez to cheer on. Or, you can beg that skilless punching Margarito to come back and lose his other eye.

I'm glad Floyd is taking this fight. Alot of people said that Floyd would duck Canelo and wouldnt take the fight so soon. I'm glad he shut the haters up in that aspect. I honestly don't agree with the catchweight. Floyd had no problem fighting Cotto at that weight so why not Alvarez. But then again its only two pounds but I'm confident Floyd would have won anyway if it was at 154, This just gives haters a reason to downplay the victory once he beats Canelo.

great. always knew floyd would fight him. would've preferred 154 lbs, but 2 lbs won't ruin the fight.
