If he does that against Canelo he's going to get hurt.
You gotta keep in mind that Guerrero is a Southpaw. So he had a greater chance of hitting Floyd by default. Canelo is not a Southpaw though, and won't have that advantage to use to his benefit like Guerrero.

Buddy, nobody's crying just stating the facts. 96% of the comments responding to this article are in some way referencing to the catch weight issue. My point is, let's be happy this fight is taking place and enjoy the sweet science at its best.

Pacquiao fights at a catch weight but the opponent never outweighs him by 20 to 30 pounds. Dela Hiya was able to call the shots when he was king but for some reason Floyd gets flack fpr doing the same thing. Either way, Canelo loses a boxing clinic by wide margin. He should have waited for this fight next year.

canelo has never entered the ring at 175. don't spread baseless lies because you don't like the guy.

I'm well aware of it. But since no one considered Pac & Oscar true 147 welterweights at the time, it's more accurate to define that fight as a "catchweight". Pact@rds like to say that Pac fought Oscar at his true weightclass. That's bullsh**. Both fighters fought at a disadvantage.

the general populous believes Canelo is some young hungry lion/beast who is strong and powerful....and the media buys into this and perpetuates that belief and convinces vast amount of casual fans that Canelo actually CAN beat Floyd....but the Boxing vet who knows the sport, knows that Canelo lacks the experience, output and skill to take on a fighter like Floyd Mayweather. I knew the logical choice for Floyd was Canelo....Floyd is smart, he takes fighters who have been built by the promotional companies into an undefeated superstar...knowing that only on paper does the fighter appear unstoppable. ...which is the case for Canelo. I see Floyd winning 9 rounds easily, taking the 12th off, and Canelo winning 2 of those rounds based on agression alone, ending another Floyd boxing clinic.
The difference is Canelo is the heaviest puncher Floyd at his 36 age has ever faced. If Canelo lands 1............and just tellin you 1 flush hard punch on Floyd, it won't happen what Mosley did to Mayweather, he (canelo) won't hurt Floyd, he'll knock-him down guaranteed.

You don't know how damn right you are!, that the same that comes to my mind when I visualize their 2 styles clashing on the ring. Believe me people Canelo is not on Floyd's level by any mean, but the Kid ha's very very good skills and is very intelligent, he ain't the typical mexican brawler , he's more of a Puncher-Boxer and he moves very well in the ring. And what I really see on Canelo giving serious trouble to Floyd is his taggin, he waits, observes you and then the throws the punch when he thinks is the right time.look at the Trout's knock-down, that's what makes so different Canelo and Guerrero, Guerrero doesn't have any of the tools that Canelo has. This will be a hell of a match.

The only thing that really worries me is his garbage STAMINA, Canelo needs to hire a conditioning expert ASAP. he's gonna need the best camp of his life if he wants to give a competitive match.

Hell no, don't compare old baldomir with young 22 canelo, not in age, not in weight, and most important, not in styles

As you gotta keep in mind that Cotto and DelaHoya were the guys that gave Floyd the most tough nights in his career and those guys were orthodox and entered the ring a lot heavier than Floyd in the ring, you see the pattern?..............
Southpaw doesn't give you and advantage against Floyd because he will right-straight your face all night. Floyd will be in a tough night, believe me.
