I agree It would seem like the sanctioning bodies would step in and say something. Why would they allow their title to exchange hands on a fight that did not allow the full weight limit?

My exact thoughts. Don't mind catch weight fights unless they're for a world title.

Doesn't bother me at all. Just hilarious seeing the Floyd brigade do their best spin on this particular fight.

I have nothing against catch weights but if the smaller fighter already fought in the division above (twice) then it's not needed.

they don't freaking belong in the sport......period! this is the first fight that i will be rooting against floyd.

I think CWs are okay as long as there are no titles at stake. Manny winning a belt at LMW was a joke.

I don't really like them as I feel that weight classes are already too close to each other compared to the original old school weight classes.

With that said, I couldn't care less as long as it's a good match up.

don't lump all floyd fans in this......i'm most definitely against this fight at a c.w......floyd is a b**** for this. i was glad floyd came in over the cw in the jmm fight and i hope canelo returns the favor to floyd. cw's are for inferior fighters.

                    I'm a fan of catchweights.

If you have fighters from two different weight classes often the fairest solution is to meet somewhere in the middle.

People need to remember that boxing's weight classes are as arbitrary as catchweights themselves.

It's all about a fair contest.

If we had same day weigh ins we wouldn't have to worry about catch weights.
