De La Hoya, and Cotto were not at their best at 154 so that's why Floyd fought them at that weight. Actually, it made the fight easier for him. Alverez is at his best at 154 and would have a huge advantage over Floyd come fight night. I hate catch weights, but why would Floyd take that type of risk? What does he have to gain by beating Canelo? This kid hasn't beat the top guys in his own division and calls out a welterweight. Floyud simply evened the playing field for a great fight.

how can you defend this? give one good reason that doesn't make Mayweather look hypocritical based on not only his past comments, but the fact that he holds a belt at 154.
Please enlighten me, how does this not make Floyd look like a complete moron
Like I've said previously, it seems to me that what some "fans" want is for Floyd not to be human and to take on all challenges no matter how ridiculous, just to earn "respect" from them that will be fleeting at best. Enlightened?

saying "this guy isn't at his best at 154" is total bull**** and isn't based on any real evidence to support it
you're coming off as a huge floyd nuthugger with this bull****
why can't people just be real: fighting another 154 champ at 152 is total bull****

What would make Floyd a complete moron is if he blindly entered into a contract to please fans across the board, that's utterly mind numbingly ******.

canelo won't be drained at 152, i've never said this
there's only one reason he wants this at 152, for the psychological advantage because he sees Canelo as a legitimate threat.
the dude discredits pacquiao's win over Cotto because of the catchweight, but then does the exact same ****ing thing, and his nuthugger fans wonder why the dude gets criticized

Judging by fight night weights, Hoya and Cotto were regular sized Jr middles.
Canelo on the other hand is huge for a Jr middle.
Floyd clearly wanted to even the playing field on this one, as he isnt even considered a big welter himself.
Another fact is we are all better off with this fight happening at 152 then not happening at all.Last edited by AllBoxingAD; 05-29-2013, 11:04 PM.

only nuthuggers will defend this if true

Someone with lack of stamina and not enough speed sadly means Mayweather wins... why you think Pacquaio will always be the greatest threat to him... he don't run out of gas and he's as fast as Mayweather... something Canelo obviously aint.
Good fight, but sadly unless Mayweather gets KO'd it's going to be same kinda **** as guerrero, and I don't even like Floyd... meh. I like Canelo, but no way in hell do I see him outboxing Mayweather or having the stamina to put the guy under constant pressure...
Lastly until we know if there is any hydration limits there's no need to get excited.
Haters are disgusting period!
