Former two division champion Juan Manuel Lopez is just over two weeks away from his fight against WBO featherweight champion Mikey Garcia. The fight takes place in Dallas, Texas and will be televised by HBO.

Garcia picked up his title in January with a dominant technical decision victory over Orlando Salido. The fight was stopped early due to Garcia suffering a broken nose from an accidental head butt.

Lopez spoke to us about the fight earlier this week on BoxingScene Radio. One would think that Juanma would target Garcia's nose to test out how well it has healed but Lopez insisted that wasn't part of his game plan. [Click Here To Read More]

Yea I agree, Garcia is better in almost every aspect but Juanma is a gritty fighter with a punch, lets see how this plays out.

JuanMa has showed guts every time he's been pushed. He was out on his feet against Mtagwa and miraculously finished the fight. His encounters with Salido were both wars. You can't knock Lopez's heart, and you can never count out a guy that hits as hard as he does. That's what makes this fight even worth considering, otherwise it's just Mikey pounding a fighter who has seen better days.

I hope that Juanma seriosly prepares for this fight. Mikey more talented than Siri so I guess this fight comes down to chins and who's will hold up better...

Yeah, I thought Salido was going to win their fight based on that one aspect. I didn't count on Garcia dominating him so badly. I don't think JuanMa has what it takes to make Mikey fold. Lopez is gutsy, but he's more one to resist, rather than to break resistance. I think JuanMa's sole chance in this fight is to land something big. Wouldn't be the first time that's happened.

during that salido fight I saw how mikey wasn't reacting well to getting hit,and salido isn't really a huge puncher,i would think juanma would want to pressure Garcia and try to land huge shots on Garcia,i think the day Garcia gets in there with someone strong who can take a punch and deliver his own,garcia will lose,and that's the key,someone who can take garcias punches and I don't think juanma is that guy,he has no chin,i noticed in the salido fights that punches wobbled a lot and mikey punches harder than salido,if juanma had a chin I think he would have a great shot at beating mikey,even so someone with power still has a shot to win and i'm hoping he does,i really don't think Garcia is that good
