Serious Question to UK fans...

I dont think he will win anywhere but in England he has a very slight chance. It will take a super human effort to beat Froch and a rabid home crowd is just the thing that can on occasion bring that out in a fighter. A more sympathetic ref and a possibly swayed by the crowd set of judges wouldnt hurt his chances either!Comment

Erm dude most of us aren't saying that Froch will win, but you can't blame the guy for wanting to avenge a defeat even if he knows he'll probably lose again.
But its clear why it should be in UK if it happens.
- Ward doesn't have a big fanbase and is really bad at selling tickets, at the end of the day Froch is near the end of his career and it really isn't worth him going to the USA for what would be much worse money than if he fought over here.
- At the moment Ward needs Froch more than Froch needs Ward just due to the fanbase... If Ward wants to cement himself as an ATG then he needs to start taking more risks.
- The atmosphere will be incredible, ask Michael Buffer... we just blow the roof of the house.
A fight in US would just be another fight, a fight in the UK would be an event!Comment

If Ward wants to fight top level fighters for the rest of his career he is going to have to travel at some point, what top level fighter will want to go to someones backyard in a place where theres hardly anyone there when they can fight infront of thousands of their own fans instead.
If Ward had a decent US fanbase, this wouldn't even be a question.

I think everyone in the UK knows he'll lose and arent even saying that it must be in UK.
Froch is the one calling for it to be in his hometown as he needs every advantage he can get.
It makes sense for ward from a business perspective, its a fighter he's familiar with and would erase the small blip on his impressive resume (not willing to travel / take risks) - but it does involve an element of risk
For Carl he'll have the usual hometown advantages plus the British media and carls mouth would do as good a job as possible to get under andres skin... he does seem a lil touchy and bitter at times and his buttons would get pushed throughout the build up.Comment
