Jose Alfaro could return return on July 6th after receiving an offer to face Daud "Cino" Yordan for the vacant IBO lightweight championship in Perth, Australia. Yordan is an experienced fighter with an impressive record of 30-3, with 23 knockouts. But Alfaro (26-8-1, 22 KOs) was the WBA lightweight champion and is coming off a big win over Gonzalo Munguia and a questionable draw with Wiston Campos. In his last fight, Yordan was stopped in the twelfth round and lost the IBO featherweight title to Simpiwe Vetyeka on April 14. He is now entering the lightweight ranks with the opportunity to capture another world title.
