Former WBC heavyweight champion Oleg Maskaev (38-7, 28KOs) plans to stay busy with a planned return in September. Maskaev, 44-years-old, returned last December after a three year layoff. He stopped Owen Beck in three rounds. Then he came back last Saturday to win a tough ten round decision over Jason Gavern, who dropped the former champion in the ninth round. Both of Maskaev's fights took place in Russia, which is where the boxer is building his comeback path.

if oleg wants to continue that is fine by me as long as he keeps his level of opposition limited to journeymen or former contenders who are in their 40s as well. he will get iced by any legitimate HW prospect or contender.
