Will boxing ever be cleaned up?

We have a gazillion boxing federations and a lot more belts. People always claim to be world champions, when reality is there can be only one in each weight class.

Will there be a day when boxing wil have only one boxing federation and only one world champion in each weiht class?

Will there be a day when matches will be recorded, watched and points given fair and objectively every time?

I really love boxing, but I hate that it has such a bad rep when it comes to trustworthiness.....it's even worse than cycling and with good reason.

What are your thoughts?

We can only dream. But I see it very doubtful. The more time passes the more belts we see. That's like going backwards not forward.

Personally I think there should be more weights classes and more belts per division. I also think corrupt judging isn't a bad thing as its annoying when a popular fighter loses to some unknown. My dad is Jose Sulaiman, fyi.

Not in our lifetimes. It's like the federal debt. It's way too much of a cluster **** to fix anytime soon.

As long as there is big money involved it isn't going to happen. Too many people with conflicting agendas.
