Comments Thread For: CompuBox Punch Stat Review: Froch vs. Kessler 1

Each fighter's jab was a key weapon in the first fight. Carl Froch averaged 10 of 48 per round while Mikkel Kessler went 8 of 31 per frame- well above the 168-lb avg. of 5 of 24 per round. Froch threw 77 jabs in round two- the most he's thrown 9 of his fights tracked by CompuBox. Will they finish where they left off over three years ago? Kessler threw his high totals for the fight in rounds eleven and twelve (70, 77 punches thrown). Froch threw a fight high 102 punches in round twelve- 72 of which were power shots. Froch's 102 thrown punches were most he's thrown in a round in 9 of his fights tracked by CompuBox. [Click Here To Read More]

This is one of the biggest robberies that I have ever seen. But nobody was talking about this fight because Froch beat Kessler in their rematch.

Two overrated and limited fighters. Was good to watch though.

You don't like proven champions do you? You like all those questionmarks a ferrytale fighter like GGG brings.

Prime Froch would beat Golovkin at 168. His only legit lost in his resume was against Prime Andre Ward.

And he ended the Bute hype. Bute was a Boogeyman before Froch KO'ed him.

I thought Froch won both Kessler fights.

              Both fights were absolutely terrific.
