Dana White was an amateur boxer and worked in boxing for a long time before getting involved with the UFC, he was good friends with Tyson for years.. Diana's always asking him to be involved in ****, adds a lot of name value...

He's a fan, he's always been interested in other combat sports, almost fought Bob Sapp in K1.

Oh you never seen this video? With the infamous quote "sign the contract big boy!"
And it's not just for show, Tyson signed the contract but he couldn't travel to Japan (where the fight would have made the most money) because he's an ex con, so it never happened.Last edited by Light_Speed; 05-25-2013, 07:44 AM.Comment

Kind of but the heavyweight division has JDS and Cain who can beat each other (they are ELITE) and Overeem is also up there too. There are fighters like Hunt/Bigfoot/Werdum also up there, Cormier is pretty damn good also. Big Nog/Mir are decent though past prime at this point.
It's MUCH better than Boxing heavyweight division when it comes to challengers, the UFC heavyweight division 6-7 years ago is like the heavyweight division of Boxing now. Outside of Arlovski/Sylvia everyone ******, Couture was at LHW and Mir was injured.Comment
