  • Comments Thread For: Froch: If I Lose To Kessler, I'd Be Totally Devastated

Carl Froch will go toe-to-toe with conqueror Mikkel Kessler on Saturday night determined to overturn his 2010 defeat by the Dane and secure his legacy as one of Britain's all-time greats.

The 35-year-old IBF super-middleweight champion meets WBA title holder Kessler in a rematch of their thrilling war in Denmark three years ago, in which the home fighter edged a unanimous decision after 12 brutal rounds.

Since then Froch has embarked a superb run of form against elite opposition, becoming a three time world champion by beating the likes of Arthur Abraham and Lucian Bute.

Froch can always fight the likes of Groves/DeGale when he loses tomorrow night. Could even fight Bute again. If Kessler loses, he can fight Froch again. So they both have places to go if they lose.

It's set up nicely for a trilogy. I'm sure Ward would have something to say about that, mind.

I told you Carl lives in a high drama... "I'd Be Totally Devastated"...
It looks to me he already is...
Mikkel looks eager to kick his buddy's a*s*s... Carl looks hot but not that eager. Hearn (the straight guy in the middle of the image) looks somehow embarrassed...

I'm so ****ing tired of listening to Froch saying that if the first fight had been in Nottingham, he'd have won. Thats total bull****. If Kessler hadn't got that decision it would have been a straight out robbery regardless of location. Froch is trying repeatedly to rewrite history. He should just STFU and move along.

Someone tell Froch he didn't lose a CLOSE desicion to Ward. He was thoroughly outboxed by a one handed Ward.
I don't know what fight those 2 judges that had it 115-113 were watching. In fact, I think I heard somewhere Froch was 4-1 up after 5 rounds!
                Ridiculous.

The fact is that Ward didn't fight so brightly during the first 4 rounds... After he felt the sharp pain into his left broken hand, Andre just glued himself onto Froch's chest and started his perfect fake "old school inside boxing" style that pleases pundits so much... End of story.
