    Shane MosleyVs Fernado Vargas!

This fight happens in a few weeks. Being that their both in a boxing limbo at the moment and the winner probably be in line for a title match who do people think will win and who do you think SHOULD win for the good of boxing?
I think Shane will eek a dec win but it would be better if Vargas won, he`s younger and is still dangerous. Mosley hasn't looked dangerous in 5 years!

I think Mosley winning is better for the sport. Think he's a better fighter.

I thnk he'll beat Vargas, who will eat right hands all night long.

I am leaning toward a Mosley UD myself but I have read some things saying Vargas promises to be the Vargas of old and this and that so I do think if he is still able to perform at the level he used to be capable of than he could hand Mosley his first loss by TKO but I am not real sure of that because Vargas has not looked dangerous in a few years either so I think it will be interesting and Vargas winning would probably be better for the sport but I don't think that all matters so much in the big picture.

im not impressed by mosleys workrate but if the reports are
true about vargas's comeback, hes nothing like when he was
before & will likely lose a ud just on workrate, although i
think vargas will land better shots on mosley.

Vargas was never the same after Trinidad, and he never will be.

I think Vargas before Trinidad was a very good, exciting fighter, who never truly lived up to his own hype. Mosley is a great fighter that takes a good shot but is slowing down a bit and doesn't seem to pack the punch he was once known for. I don't know which would be better for the sport, but I'm leaning towards Mosley by dec. If Vargas fights like he used to, it could be a very entertaining fight, but will he throw his back out?
              lol

I agree with that. Since that fight, Vargas has been wobbled by guys who shouldn't have been able to hurt him and every fight I've watched of his since then he's put on a very lackluster performance. I think Shane might be able to Kayo Vargas, if not by KO, though, he'll get an easy decision (Moseley that is).

I think Mosley will win a boring decision. Vargas just isn't the same aggressive fight with all your heart type fighter anymore. In his last three fights he has looked to be declining each time rather than getting better. Mosley has looked better than Vargas lately but he isn't exactly his old self either but does have enough to win a decision.

I think Shane wins by decision, although a TKO for accumulated punishment wouldn't stun me. I think he will win what could be a very exciting fight. While it would seem that Vargas winning would be better since he's younger and could be paired up with Oscar or Tito for a sequel or guys like Taylor and Wright at middle, Shane has several big matchups out there too. A Shane fight against Mayweather could be the biggest fight of the year at the box office while matchups against guys like Judah, Margarito, and Mayorga would also be fascinating. Not sure who's better but as long as both guys look good (or at least the winner) it could be a fight that furthers current boxing, unlike fights like Tarver-Jones 3. I don't think its a loser goes home if both look good though, I really don't
