Comments Thread For: Hatton Says Home Crowd Will Boost Froch To Victory

Ricky Hattons says the sold out crowd at London's O2 Arena will be the difference between Carl Froch and Mikkel Kessler in Saturday's super middleweight unification rematch. Sky Sports indicates that most of the 19,000 fans will be there for Froch, with at least 2,000 of them traveling from Denmark to support Kessler. The first time around, in 2010, Kessler defeated Froch by decision in Denmark.

The home ref and judges don't hurt either... I remember the ref stopping the fight mid-round to tie Hatton's shoe laces after getting rocked by Lazcano.

Froch isn't going to need that type of help though. The confidence of being at home with a home crowd will help him in taking a different approach to this fight (although I thought he won, it is how he should've fought in Denmark for the first fight).
