Matthysse can deal with clinchers well. He beats both easy imo.

I'd like to see this put to the test, out of curiosity. Although I had him winning (comfortably enough) versus Alexander (and Judah), I think that's a good rematch and we can see if Lucas is truly a different fighter assuming he wins even MORE emphatically or was it the southpaw stance and speed that troubled him in parts in those fights. Maybe he'll get the knockout this time. He was asked recently if he thinks he's a different fighter than the guy that fought Judah and Alexander, he didn't say yes, he just said he sits down on his punches more. In any case that's a very interesting rematch with Alexander maybe they could put that together after Garcia.

Alvarado and Abril probably both get stopped.

If Matthysse doesn't get Garcia he's still going to want the lineal championship at 140, and the Ring and WBC belts to go with it. That's why he's been chasing Garcia after all.

I can't see him moving up to welterweight for Devon Alexander when he's got that title in his sights, remember that the guy still hasn't been crowned a world champion, getting that strap would mean a lot to him.

147 can wait, he needs to establish his rightful place at 140 first.

well I didn't mean it has to happen next, but point taken, sometime down the line though I'd be interested in seeing the rematch.
