  • Comments Thread For: Froch in Hot Water Over "Kill" Comments on Kessler

Carl Froch has apologized for threatening to "kill" Mikkel Kessler in their IBF super-middleweight title bout in London on Saturday night.

But the British Boxing Board of Control has started an investigation into the incident.

Froch launched a strongly worded attack on his Danish opponent in a pre-fight media briefing on Wednesday.

Speaking to reporters, the Briton said: "On Saturday night, if I have to, I will kill this f***. Sorry about the language, but I will kill him.

“It sounds brutal, it sounds horrible, but this is what it means to me. I'm going to leave it in the ring. And when I'm smashing his face in, I am going to go for the kill. I am going to go for the finish."

Let's dedicate our lives to hurting and stopping a man and just get in the ring and play patty cake.

The BBBC needs to shut the f4ck up because these as5holes are doing the worst job I've ever seen.

What a bunch of sensitive pansies. This is the hurt business! If people don't like the comment then they need to watch a different sport or event. Dance perhaps.

Exactly. Bunch of little bitches. It's not like he really wants to kill him. They are both going to go in and try to put the other man to sleep. It's like any other high profile fight. Get over it.

It was a little much, in a sport where a man dying in the ring is possible. I wouldn't go overboard, it's not like Froch would actually go out and try to kill Mikkel Kessler, but those comments were a little much.

Froch's apology should be more than adequate.

Also a Froch fan, but he didn't need to say it. It's just like Haye's gang-**** comments, needless and unacceptable.
